Who’s Working in Your Orchard?
Meet the beneficial insects doing work you might not know about.
There’s a whole team of tiny workers in your orchard. The trick is knowing who they are, what they’re doing, and whether they’re actually showing up in the numbers you want.
Join experts Bethan Shaw and Tara Taylor for a practical afternoon in the orchard, getting to know beneficial invertebrates found in apple blocks.
You will learn how to spot and identify some of the good guys, understand a bit more about their behaviour and biology, and pick up simple ways to monitor the health of these communities in your own orchard.
We will also look at what you can do to create the right conditions for beneficials to stick around and do their thing.
